Follow Friday

Q. Do you have a favorite series that you read over and over again? Tell us a bit about it and why you keep on revisiting it?

A. Seeing as I never have enough time to read as it is, and seeing how so many great new books come out all the time, I don't reread books much unless there is a movie coming out of it. One series that I can think of retracing for non-movie purposes is The Mortal Instruments series. I reread the first three while I waited for the fourth to come out (the wait about killed me, and I'm not in that much better shape for the fifth). I reread them because I love them. Pure and simple!

What did you choose this week? I'd love to hear your answer!

  1. I usually reread books when they're being turned in to movies too! But other than that I don't tend to reread books :( No time!

  2. I actually reread books a lot, when I have time to read at all. Whenever a new book in a series is coming out, I usually reread the first books, if I liked them enough in the first place. Harry Potter, The Goose Girl, the Abhorsen trilogy, and Percy Jackson are all series I've reread multiple times. The Goose Girl, especially--the writing in it is beautiful. =)

  5. Happy Follow Friday!

I hope you will stop by and check out our twitter event going on today!

  6. I've read the Lord of the Rings probably about ten times, but not in a very long time.

One of my favorite books to re-read is the Secret History by Donna Tartt.

It's not YA and it came out around 1992, I think. Fantastic book, and I always notice something new every time I read it.

    Nice blog you have.

  7. I'm just about to reread Harry Potter!
Btw, I love your banner :)
