Q: What book would you love to see made into a movie or television show and do you have actors/actresses in mind to play the main characters?

A. Ok, this was already made into a movie, but in my opinion, the movie did the book no justice whatsoever, and that would be Eragon. I was really excited when it came out, but I felt like the movie makers did not honor the fans at all. I would love it if the Inheritance Cycle were made into a series like Game of Thrones or Pillars of the Earth. I think that TV series work very well for long books like that (or a four book series with four very long books as the case might be), because one season could easily have ten hours of footage, so they could be as true to the book as they liked without having to cut out major plot points for time's sake.

What book would you like to be made into a movie or TV show?

  2. I'm with you, that movie was terribly done!! I was practically shouting at the screen through the whole thing. I'm hoping they don't butcher the Hunger Games like that!

  3. @ Miss Vain, don't watch the movie, it was awful, but if you like high fantasy and have a lot of time on your hands, I would recommend Eragon.

@ Jessi, from what I am hearing, everyone is really dedicated to making the Hunger Games faithful to the movie. (I think they are scared of a mob of fans with pitch forks banging down their doors if they do butcher it. lol)

  5. @ Jenni, I know, it is such a shame too, since the story had so much material to go on.

  6. I agree. I think that's a big deal and is my point exactly. Maybe leave my fav books alone if they're not going to be done right!!! Yikes! Colorimetry

  10. Hi, I'm your new follower :). I've only started reading Eragon some years ago and then somehow never managed to come back to it, but I saw the movie and I still thought it was rather bad. And I feinitely agree that turning book series into TV series or mini series works really well! There's more time to include all important details and do the justice to books.
