Rick Riordan
May 3 2011
From Hyperion Books for Children

In this exciting second installment of the three-book series, Carter and Sadie, offspring of the brilliant Egyptologist Dr. Julius Kane, embark on a worldwide search for the Book of Ra, but the House of Life and the gods of chaos are determined to stop them. (From Border's website)

You gotta love anything with the name 'Rick Riordan' on the cover!

  1. I havent read the first one yet but I was told by a friend that it was alittle confusing to follow. Did you like the first one? Also I cant wait to read your review of The Gift. I have been meaning to read it I really liked Witch and Wizard.

  2. 'The Cane Chronicles' isn't as good as 'The Lost Hero' or 'Percy Jackson', but it was still entertaining. Even if it was a little confusing.

  3. My kids were too caught up in the Greek when we finished the initial Percy series last fall, we immediately started Lost Hero. Still, I've got Red Pyramid sitting on the shelf to be read next and I'm pretty sure we'll keep up with this series as well.

Riordan is just so much fun to read. :)

  4. "You gotta love anything with the name 'Rick Riordan' on the cover!"

I agree! I still have to read the first one though.

  5. I love the Percy Jackson series! I keep meaning to pick up The Lost Hero, I always forget though. :)

  6. The Lost Hero isn't as good as Percy Jackson, but I still loved it!

  7. I've been meaning to read this series because I loved Percy Jackson. Great WoW!
Thanks for the follow! I see you're reading Angel; can't wait to hear what you think, I love the Maximum Ride series!
    Have a good weekend!

I love comments, and I will definitely read anything that is left here. Don't be shy, I'd love to know what you are thinking!
